Endure

I was stricken today by this passage...stricken with true hope...not the hope of an empty suit...but a true and living hope. See if your spirit is touched as well.

"Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised. For,
'Yet a little while, and the coming one will come and will not delay; but my righteous one shall live by faith, and if he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him.'
But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who have faith and preserve their souls." Hebrews 10:35-39

The greatest days for the church of believers are still ahead. Not days of cathedrals and throngs, but days filled with acts of deliverance, spirit-let witness, and an overcoming tenacity to see the King glorified. Prosperity will no longer be marked by materialism, but an integrity of spirit in the individual. Blessing will be defined as process, namely, souls being brought into the Kingdom. Now is not the time to shrink back into world-birthed ideologies and philosophies. Now is the time to stand for the TRUTH.

Stand strong, Jesus is on his way, either by a new outpouring of the Spirit, or with the sound of a trumpet. Both are good!

So, The Sun Came Up

Yes, the sun came up, the ice caps didn't melt, nor did the earth quake in the wake of Barack Obama's overwhelming victory yesterday. Many have already called to ask how I felt about it all. Am I depressed? Nope! Am I upset? Uh-uh Am I ready to cash it all in and head for the hills? Only if it means I get to enjoy some hunting for a week or so.

Here's what it does mean....God knows what he is doing. "He will keep in perfect peace he whose mind is stayed on HIM!" It is all going to work out to the good for those who love HIM and are called according to HIS purposes!

Be ready for multiple opportunities to share the hope that is in you....it may take a few months for the consequences of this election to begin to show. But when they do, people are going to be looking for answers to their disillusionment. Jesus is the only answer...and we know how to point people his way.

So, look up. Your redemption is getting closer. People are hungry...search them out and feed them. We have a bigger reason for being than ever before. Go for it...know holds barred. Forget about Barack Obama's rise to power, except to pray for him daily. That is our duty! Make it count by being sincere. God will see us through!!!
